Likaku Kongolo kele nani?
Likaku Kongolo is the heir of the Great Apes of the Congo, a mighty prince who commands both fear and reverence. Born to the throne of the forest, his destiny was to protect the balance between nature and memory. When the prophecy of the Bottle of Time called the Guardians together, Likaku left his throne to join them, proving that true royalty serves before it rules.
The Iron Ape
Towering and fierce, he carries the dignity of a prince who fights not for power but for his people. Loyal to the end, he will walk into danger for his friends, and that loyalty is also his greatest risk. Far from his ancestral forest, his strength fades, and he hesitates whenever innocents could be hurt.
What he means
Likaku stands for the royalty of Africa’s primal roots: a crown of strength, loyalty and endurance, proof that kingship lives not only in men or lions but in every living force of creation. His name, Kongolo, means iron, for his unbreakable nature.
Bisika yandi ke monikaka
Likaku Kongolo appears in The Guardians of Kongo: Okapi & Opa, The Sacred Bottle of Time of Ota Benga, the ISOLELE children’s comic book.
