Who is Baku?
Baku was born beneath the same burning skies as his brothers, but he never followed them into crime. He did not build empires. He did not chase money. He did not survive through tricks.
Baku chose discipline. He built himself into something different: a wall of muscle, loyalty and control.
The Silent Mountain
He was never a gangster, but every gang knew his name. His presence alone could silence a room. In Kinshasa, people whispered:
“Hov rules the storm. OFa rules the sun. SilQ rules the mind. But when Baku arrives, everything stops.” Hov is Zaïko, OFa is Zirofa, SilQ is Kikwit.
Because power does not always need to speak. Sometimes, it simply stands.
Personality
Baku is disciplined, silent and loyal. Unlike his brothers, he does not seek wealth, cunning or power, only to protect and enforce. He carries the weight of the empire without needing the crown.
Symbolism
If Hov is the storm, OFa the sun and SilQ the mind, then Baku is the stone: the immovable force that holds them together.
Words of Baku
“I don’t need to be a gangster. The gangs already fear me.”
“Strength is not for pride. Strength is for protection.”
“My brothers rule storms, suns and empires. I am the wall that keeps them standing.”
“Call me Bakala, call me Le Musclé… but in the street, I am Baku.”
His look
A cream double-breasted jacket with red leopard spots and gold buttons, a yellow open-collar shirt and pocket square, red leopard flared trousers, a gold watch and rings, gold-rimmed sunglasses and a round afro.
Appearances
Baku appears beside his brothers in The Legend of Zaïko: The Leopard Phantom King of the Streets, coming soon from ISOLELE.
