The story

Searching for his mother, Zaiire returns to the Kongo cosmogram and is pulled across time to June 30, 1960, the day the Congo became free. There he watches Mwindo Lumumba, the African Panther, step down from the airplane, and understands the weight one man carried for a whole nation.

On his path he meets Kimpa Vita, the fire of ISOLELE, Simon Kimbangu and the Leopard Society. And he begins to learn who his mother truly is: Kimoya, the Kandake.

Across time, others are watching him.
