Who is Princess Layraa?
“I am the daughter of King Lula and Queen Kabamba, born of rhythm and mercy. The lion beside me is my father’s roar, the flame within me my mother’s song. I dance so that the universe may remember its light.”
Princess Layraa was born in the House of Lula, one of the oldest dynasties of the Lyran realm. From her father, King Lula, she inherited the flame of vision and rhythm. From her mother, Queen Kabamba, she inherited empathy, grace and the gift of speaking to the spirits through song.
The Babi of the Flame
Both her parents fell in the Siege of the Crystal Thrones, during the War of Flames. Orphaned, Layraa became a Babi, a sacred orphan chosen by destiny, and the universe sent a colossal lion to protect her: Mbazulu, the spirit of King Lula’s heart and courage, reborn as her guardian.
Growing up among silence and ashes, she learned to speak through rhythm. Each of her dances was both prayer and weapon, restoring pieces of her lost homeland.
The union of the lions
When King Zaiion Mbube, the Black Lion of the Sky, saw her Dance of Memory beneath the twin suns of Lyria, he recognized the woman his father, King Zariion, once spoke of: the woman whose rhythm could heal time itself. Their union joined the Lion Kingdoms of Flame and Light and began the divine line that would one day appear on Earth as the royal blood of Kongo.
Her look
Golden-brown skin that glows under any sky, eyes of violet fire, braids that move like threads of starlight, the Crown of Kabamba and the Staff of Lula, and a gown of white and gold covered in prismatic glyphs. Beside her stands Mbazulu, his mane etched with the glowing sigils of House Lula.
Legacy
When the War of Vegas broke out and the Lyran worlds collapsed, Layraa performed the Dance of Ascension and turned her body into starlight to save the memory of her house. Her soul became part of the Lion Constellation, the same stars that watch over King Zola, Queen Kimoya Kandake and Prince Zaiire. She is honored as the Matriarch of Light and Flame.
