Who is Zumbi?
Zumbi is the son of Sabina, sister of King Ganga Zumba. His uncle raised him to carry the free kingdom of Palmares one day. But when Ganga Zumba chose peace to protect his people, Zumbi refused it, convinced the treaty was a trap.
The kingdom split in two. And Zumbi stood behind the fall of the uncle who raised him.
The nephew Ganga Zumba hunts
Death did not keep the King of Palmares. Ganga Zumba became the Timewalking Jaguar, and as Negus Captain Afrika he crosses the centuries in search of the Eternal Bloodline, and of Zumbi. Every era he enters brings him closer to the nephew he once loved. When they finally stand face to face, the king will have one question: why?

Zumbi and Dandara
His wife is Dandara, one of the fiercest warriors ever born in Brazil, who transforms into a caracal and is the best friend of Princess Kazaba.
His look
Today Zumbi dresses for the street: a black hooded jacket over a cream shirt, leopard-print trousers, heavy black boots, long locs tied back, a sharp goatee, small gold earrings and a scar on his cheek. His eyes never stop measuring the room.
The real Zumbi dos Palmares
The character honors a real hero. Zumbi dos Palmares was the last leader of the Quilombo dos Palmares, the great free community of Africans who escaped slavery in 17th-century Brazil. He rejected the peace treaty his uncle Ganga Zumba accepted in 1678 and led Palmares in resistance until he was killed on November 20, 1695. Brazil now honors him every November 20, its Black Consciousness Day.
