Every universe needs a home. Marvel had New York. ISOLELE has Kinshasa. And from Kinshasa, the African superhero movement is spreading across the continent.
A Home in the Heart of Kinshasa
ISOLELE is headquartered at l'Échangeur de Limete, one of the most iconic landmarks in Kinshasa, under a 33-year lease with the DRC Ministry of Culture. A monument of Congolese history is now the home of Congolese superheroes.
East to Bukavu
ISOLELE's creative engine runs from Kinshasa and Bukavu, where 49 illustrators now work with the team. Eastern Congo is not only a place in the news. It is a place where African heroes are being drawn every day.
Bestseller Shelves in Kenya
Zaiire: The Prince of Kongo and The Necklace of Destiny reached the bestseller shelf at Nuria Bookstore in Nairobi. A Congolese superhero, standing among the top books in East Africa.
Across the River in Brazzaville
Kinshasa and Brazzaville face each other across the Congo River, the two closest capitals in the world. Now the same heroes live on both banks. ISOLELE has partnered with Proxy Livre Congo, an independent book distributor serving publishers, bookstores and schools across Central Africa. Shango et Zaiire: Une Lettre d'un Père à son Fils is already in their hands, ready for readers in the Republic of Congo and beyond.
Zambia and South Africa
The first Zaiire book is distributed across Zambia and South Africa, bringing African comics to readers in the south of the continent.
Speaking Africa's Languages
Shango et Zaiire is published in French, English, Lingala, Kikongo, Swahili, and Tshiluba. ISOLELE does not ask African children to read their heroes in someone else's language. It meets them in their own.
More Than Comics
ISOLELE is a Pan-African creative lifestyle universe. Beyond books, it is building the Kufu card game, the Kuludo board game, Kongo Royal Heritage Chess on a 10 by 10 board, RoiRoyal Parfums, and a Zaiire animated feature film announced for December 2028.
Raising the Next Generation
Through Bana ya ISOLELE, its children's literacy and arts program in the DRC, ISOLELE is investing in the young readers and artists who will carry these stories forward.
Calling the Whole World
On July 3 and 4, 2027, ISOLELE UMOJA, the first festival of African superheroes, will bring every continent to Kinshasa.
Africa is not waiting for its heroes anymore. They are here, and they are spreading from Kongo to the world.
Everything Begins in Kongo. FIMBU.
