Zaiire Chapter II Arrives October 23: The Black African Superhero Prince of Kongo Returns

The storm-born prince is back. Chapter II sends Zaiire through time to the day Congo became free, and his enemies are watching.

Zaiire The Prince of Kongo Chapter II cover, The Sacred Flame of the Forgotten Kings and Queens, Black African superhero comic by HRM King Kufulula

The Prince of Kongo is coming back. On October 23, ISOLELE releases Zaiire: The Prince of Kongo, Chapter II: The Sacred Flame of the Forgotten Kings and Queens That Crowned the Afrikan Excellence, the next chapter in the story of Africa's most powerful new superhero.

Who Is Zaiire?

Zaiire is a Black African superhero and demigod, son of Shango, the god of storms and rain, and Kimoya, Kandake of Kush. He was born on the banks of the Congo River in the middle of a thunderstorm, his infant fist already crackling with lightning.

Sent away from his mother at four years old, he woke up wearing half of a sacred artifact: the Necklace of Destiny. He grew up in the house of his uncle Zattar, a prince with his own claim to the throne. Zaiire does not yet know he is royalty. His full story unfolds across nine books.

Where Book I Left Off

Zaiire: The Prince of Kongo and The Necklace of Destiny launched on April 3, 2025 and reached the bestseller shelf at Nuria Bookstore in Nairobi, with distribution across South Africa and Zambia. Readers met Zaiire, his world, and Jameela, the girl who changes everything.

What Happens in Chapter II

In The Sacred Flame of the Forgotten Kings and Queens That Crowned the Afrikan Excellence, Zaiire searches for his lost mother Kimoya. His path leads him into the Kongo cosmogram and pulls him back to June 30, 1960, Congo's Independence Day. There he meets legends: Mwindo Lumumba, the first African Panther, Kimpa Vita, and Simon Kimbangu.

What Zaiire sees that day changes how he understands the weight he was born to carry.

He is not alone in time. Zattar and his family are watching him from across the ages. And on the planet Kakongo, a gate is about to be opened by people who have no idea what war they are starting.

More Than a Comic

Zaiire is part of Katiomics, ISOLELE's own genre of African comics, created by illustrators working from Kinshasa and Bukavu. The story draws on Kongo cosmology and real African history, so every page carries something true.

The journey does not stop on paper. A Zaiire animated feature film is announced for December 2028, produced by ISOLELE to keep the story authentic.

Get Ready

Zaiire: The Prince of Kongo and The Necklace of Destiny is available now at isoleleuniverse.com. Read it before October 23 so you are ready when the storm returns.

FIMBU.
