A great hero is recognized in one second, even in silhouette. Zaiire, the Prince of Kongo, was designed to be that hero: a Congolese superhero who could stand next to the most famous heroes in the world and still look like no one else. Here is how his design speaks.
Gold, the color of kings

Zaiire’s armor is gold from head to toe. In the kingdoms of Africa, gold has always been the color of power and of the sacred. On Zaiire, it says one thing before he speaks: this is an heir. His long white cape gives the silhouette its royal shape, and the crest at his belt carries the sign of the ISOLELE Universe.
The leopard and the zigzags
Under the gold, the leopard print shows through, the skin of the kings of Central Africa. On the front of his armor, red, yellow and blue zigzag patterns recall African textiles and the colors of the Congolese flag. Every detail is a message: Zaiire belongs to a land and a lineage. The lion mask

Zaiire’s mask is a lion’s face in gold, with a mane of real fur, glowing eyes and lines of color across the cheeks. In 3D, the mask becomes almost real: you can imagine its weight and its shine.
The face behind the mask

For a long time, Zaiire had a face that did not look African. One night, HRM King Kufulula gave him his own younger face. Today, Zaiire also exists in 3D: locs, a blue mark crossing the eye, gold earrings marked with the ISOLELE crest. Read the story behind Zaiire’s face.
